The Perfect Pumpkin Activity

Hey mama! Looking for a really simple and festive activity this fall season?

All you need is:

• small pumpkins

• bins

• water

• soap

• sponges

• finger paint or paint sticks - we love the Chunkies paint sticks from Amazon! (only if you want to paint after!)

Fill up two buckets, one with soap and water, and one with plain water.

Teach your little how to use the sponge to clean your pumpkins from the store or the pumpkin patch! It seems SO simple because it is, and it will keep your little ghoul or guy busy for 30 minutes to an hour in my experience! Let them scoop the water, play with the bubbles, and splash the pumpkins around! This is a great opportunity to talk about pumpkins and their color, where they come from and more!

If you want to take it a step further, paint your pumpkins!

You can use paint sticks like the ones I mentioned above, (linked above and on the photo) or you can use good old finger paint!

Baylor even painted his and then wanted to wash them clean again. Such a fun lesson on how to get things clean and it will surely keep them entertained!

Display your finished pumpkins outside your door or in your home! SO FUN!
